Picked this up with free shirt coupon. It looks cool, and it feels nice. Surprisingly high quality shirt. I would have given it 5 stars except it fits a bit tighter than usual. I wear mediums for everything, I ordered this in medium but it feels like one of those muscle shirts, hugs a bit. I would order 1 size up if I were to get this again.
Name: 2011 Celtek Tweakers Liner Base Snowboard Gloves Men's
Pros: Keep hands warm, Fits under my snow gloves, Can keep these on when strapping in
I kind of picked these up as a filler to get my order over $50 and free shipping, but turns out to be a good buy! They are snug enough that I can wear them under my snow gloves, and keep my hands warm when I have to take the snow gloves off (strapping in, adjusting boots, etc.) For the less than $10 I paid, these are totally worth it. I don't have to worry about freezing my hands now when I take my gloves off, since I have these bad boys on.
I've ridden these twice on the mountain so far... no complaints yet! I've previously used the Burton Moto's and Saloman Factions, but these are by far the most comfortable and most responsive! Even during the break-in period... I barely had any discomfort at all. The lacing system is super fast... just a quick pull for the inner lining and then the BOA system for the outside. The boots also came with an extra lace, in case something happened to the other laces... but the BOA's come with a lifetime warranty as well, so no need to worry there. These are by far the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. These supposedly only get more comfortable after 2-3 rides as well due to the heat molding. My only complaint is that I do get a tiny bit of heel lift.. however with the moldability of the boot, the store where I bought it from said if I still have that issue after 3 days on the mountain I can come in and get them adjusted (they'll throw in more padding and what not and then heat mold at the shop.) The boots are so easy to put in, and super responsive on the mountain. No issues at all with them coming loose. Also, the big nob for the BOA system makes it easy to adjust without even having to take my gloves off.
Pros: Great Lacing System, Good Response, Adjustable
Cons: A little bit too stiff, Too Snug,
Shoe Size: 10.5
Boot Size: 10.5
I purchased this boot and rode it 2 full days on the mountain, ended up trading it in for some 32 boots instead.
This boot would have been perfect for me, except I have pretty wide feet/calves so the boot was a little bit snug and my feet were VERY VERY sore.
I wear a 10.5 shoe, and the 10.5 boot was perfect length. My toes just came up to edge of the toe box but weren't too squished, and I had zero heel lift at all.
On the mountain, these were great. Very responsive, I have been using a pair of 2010 Soloman Factions, and these Burtons took a lot less effort to get the board moving around.
After the first day, feet were mad sore.. I was hoping it would get better as I broke them in, but after the 2nd day it was the same.
The lacing system is great on this one, they speed-tie system makes it so quick and easy to adjust. Also, no issues with the boot coming loose at all (which is why I bought these to replace my Salomens). The right speed lace adjusts the lower zone (portion that is the top of the foot), and the left speed lace adjusts the upper portion (around the calf area). This was great because I like to have it a little looser around my calfs (because they are huge) and tight around my foot.
overall, I would probably give these 5 stars but the boot just seems too stiff for me. I've ridden my new 32 boots twice after these... and no issues on those with being sore afterwards. If you have normal/smaller feet and calves, this is probably the perfect boot for you.
Pretty cool watch for 20 bucks or less.
It has Alarm, Chronograph, time/date... also can go 24 hr time or AM/PM.
For 20 bucks, pretty happy. got this in Yellow for snowboarding... hope the battery will last long enough!
Pros: Looks great, extra compartments, easy to spot in a crowd (or at baggage claim)
Cons: a little bit on smaller side,
I've had this bag for a couple of years and have no complaints about it. It looks very sharp, and it's easy to spot out at the airport. It seems to be decently well made, really I haven't had any problems.
It is a little bit on the smaller side though, it's best for a weekend trip or a day trip... I use it a lot to get away to Vegas or Tahoe for the weekends.
Great bag for the price, and the look and brand are great.
Pros: Great Grip, No Slippage, See-Through, Doesn't Block Graphics
Cons: No problems so far,
I had a coupon to REI and picked this up there... so far, so good!
It's absolutely huge, goes across about 5/8th the width of my snowboard... I have it placed right next to the binding of my backfoot. It's huge, almost impossible to miss. Haven't had any problems coming off lifts or skating around.
The best thing I like about this though is that it's clear and see-through. I have it on my Sierra Stunt Board, and I can still see the angry monkey/gorilla graphic underneath it.
Have nothing to complain about with this stomp pad.
Name: 2012 Smith Variant Brim Snowboard Helmet Men's
Pros: Fits great, Great ventilation system, looks good
Cons: A little bit expensive,
I picked up this helmet at a ski/snowboard festival on sale and got to use it for the first time this past weekend. It was great!
The ventilation system is awesome, it was super cold in the morning when it was snowing so I closed everything off, in the afternoon when it cleared up and the sun came out, I opened up the vents and was able to cool down my balloon head.
It looks great as well, my previous helmet made my head look HUGE. this one is more fitting and makes me look less awkward. The fit is great, easily adjustable... the strap is comfortable and it's a BOA system to adjust how tight you want the helmet around your head.
No complaints about this one, you get what you pay for. It's a little more expensive than other helmets but I really like it and for the amount of times I plan to go, I think it's worth it.
Also, my girlie friend got the woman's version of this and loves it as well.
Also, I forgot to add that when paired with my set of Smith Goggles, it was terrific. One of my other makes it really awkward to wear with goggles.. but this one really seemed to go well together.
Pros: Looks awesome, Flex Fit, adjusts to your head size,
Fit: Just right
My Size: M
Fits Like: M
Description: Flex Fit, so expands to your size
Picked up this hat to wear before and after the slopes... love it so far. Ordered it in black, and it looks fantastic. The flex fit is a bonus, it starts off small but then expands to whatever size your head is... just don't let someone else with a big head borrow it. Got many compliments on it so far as there aren't too many Gnu hats floating around....
Cons: A little bit on the small side, You can feel the graphics,
Fit: Too small
My Size: M
Fits Like: S
Description: A little bit snug
As a big SNOOP fan, had to get this shirt (and needed a filler to get free shipping)... I normally wear M, ordered a M, and the shirt turned out to be a little bit small. Still fits fine, just a little tight, also you can feel the graphics against your body so you need to wear an under shirt... shirt has softened up a bit after a wash though... get this shirt, the graphics are awesome!
Description: Fits just right, hugs the body but is not uncomfortable
Purchased this for my lady, she's used it twice so far and loves it. She reiterated how comfortable is and how warm it is as well. She ate the snow pretty hard a couple of times but didn't complain about being wet or cold... overall the base layer did a great job in keeping her dry and warm. Also, the layering looks great and she wore just the layer out in Reno after we finished boarding... excellent item!
Pros: Looks great, good sun protection, easy to swap lens, fits with helmet
Cons: Not that great a fit around face shape,
Just tried these yesterday at North*... pretty sweet pair of goggles. It came with an extra lense that I didn't use since it was dark most of the day... extra lense also has a nice case so you don't have to worry about it scratching up. These fit well over my Smith helmet, and were comfortable on my face... I would have gave this 5 stars but my only complaint is that it didn't fit snug around my nose (I have a flat asian nose...). When I got to high speeds, I could really feel some wind coming through the goggles and to my eyes... the only place where that could come through is the bridge of my nose... I guess I need an asian fit goggle. Everything else is great, excellent field of vision, looks fantastic, blocks the sun.. a great value goggle
Purchased this for a friend of mine, he uses it for his burton set up now. At first, it seems like a huge bag, but once you put a board in, there's not much space for much else. You can barely squeeze your boots in, as well as maybe a smaller sized helmet. However, as I like to put all my gear in my snowboard bag including my clothing, this doesn't cut it. It gets extremely hard to zip to the point where I think it'll break. Get the next size up if you want to store a lot of items!
I purchased these in both the Black and Fog color, and they work well. They are pretty thick and keep my feet warm when I'm boarding. No complaints, except that I got a medium and wish I had gotten a Large instead... seems to be a little bit tight. Otherwise looks great and works like a charm.
Description: Perfect, not too tight or big, very comfortable
Love this shirt! I had been using a bunch of under-armour thermals before, but I only use this now. First, the shirt looks great so you can wear this on the outside... and it's super warm/comfortable! The shirt has a mesh pattern to it, so it keeps cool and wicks moisture away, but keeps warmth in as well. I've worn it wear it's cold in the morning, so just throw a jacket over it, and then when it warms up in the afternoon just take the jacket off and shred with this. I love how it looks like a normal shirt but is actually a thermal!
I picked this up from Trusnow during the black friday sale... and they are great! They are very warm and waterproof, I've worn them 3 days up on the mountain so far without complaints. I've only been down to about 25 degree temperature so far, but they kept me warm in that. For the price, you can't beat this! These keep me a lot warmer than a similar pair of Ride Pants that I got for almost double the price. My only real complaint that the fit is a bit loose, but it comes with straps to put a belt on if you need.
Love these goggles! I used to rock oakleys before I was sold on these. I picked them up on sale at a convention, so got a good discount on it.
The best thing about these goggles is that you can change out the lens in literally 30 seconds or less! I took these up to Northstar for the first time this past weekend, and brought the extra lens it came with.. it worked out perfectly. In the morning it was snowing pretty heavily, sun was not out, super dark. By after lunch time, the sun had come out, skies had cleared, and it was time for some darker lens. Just flipped 2 clips and voila, switched the lens out, and had some protection from the sun.
These also look great, fit well with my smith helmet, and feel great as well. No need to carry 2 pairs of goggles anymore, I just bring this and the extra lens and I'm ready for any type of weather!
Pros: easy to change combo, easy to lock, keeps boards safe
Cons: wish the cord was a little longer,
This thing works exactly like it's supposed to. Makes me feel like my board is safe when I go in for lunch or use the restroom. Quick and easy to lock my board up... works well for 2 boards as well as you can just lock them together. I wish the cord was a little bit longer though so it would be easier to lock it to railings and what not. Other than that, does the job, seems durable, great buy to protect your board.
Great tool, it came with my dakine mini tune kit. It beats the hell out of having to carry a bunch of tools with me when I'm on the mountain now.. I can make adjustments with it any time and quickly. It's so small and light that it doesn't weight my pack down on the mountain. Would recommend this to all boarders!
Name: 2010 Special Blend Struggle Bandana Tonal Struggle
Pros: comfortable, looks great,
picked this up for less than $5 when it was on sale here... does exactly what it's supposed to. Looks exactly how it does in the picture... feels very soft but feels durable.. use it during boarding and biking. can't think of anything negative about this, when it gets dirty just throw in the wash, seems like it will last a long time!
Name: 2010 Special Blend Get Rad Bandana Grape Men's
Pros: looks good, soft, comfortable
great looking bandana, picked it up to use as a face protector against the wind. Easy to tie on, keeps my face and nose warm, and looks pretty cool. picked it up on sale, definitely worth it!
Name: 2010 Special Blend Checkmate Bandana Checkmate Men's
Pros: soft and comfy, looks great,
Picked this up for my GF... she loves it. The colors match her boarding gear and she uses this as a face shield against the wind. She'll also use it under her helmet in the summer time when we go biking. Looks great, blocks the wind, should absorb sweat in the summer time. Can't complain here!
Picked up this beanie to get my order over $50 to get the free shipping but turns out to be a pretty nice deal. It's one of the old style ones, feels too big for my head but actually stays on nice and is super warm. You can wear it in a couple of different styles, and the black color matches with everything.
Got these on sale for my girlfriend, she thinks they are absolutely the best. Super soft in her opinion and super warm. They also look pretty good, they match her pink pants. Would recommend these to anyone, especially at this sale price!
Pros: Large, Clear View, Comfortable around head, comes with cleaning cloth/holder
Nice goggle, large lens that does not impede vision in any way. Elastic band is very comfortable and easy to adjust. Only minor complaint is if I take a bad fall and snow gets in, it fogs up really easy (but probably happens with all goggles). There are a few scratches already but I don't treat them very well so that is expected.
These bindings are great! The color scheme matches my board (Sierra Stunt) and they are super comfortable. Easy to strap in without taking off gloves, don't have any complaints about these. Some people mentioned they look cheap, but they feel durable and I think they should last
This is an awesome board! This is my first real board, coming from a hand-me-down Lamar board, this one feels so much better. Carving is a lot smoother, it is a lot more forgiving and I've been able to play around and try to do some tricks. I am by all means a beginner but my carving performance drastically increased with this board.
Not a lot to say about these... they do what they're supposed to do. Keep me warm and dry, and keep me lookin awesome. They're my first pair of snowboarding pants and I haven't had any problems with them so far.
Bought this boot and returned it after 1 day on the mountain. It was comfortable in the store, and comfortable starting off, but coming down my first run I could already feel my feet starting to ache. Seeing as how it was my first pair of boots I ever purchased I thought it was just a matter of breaking them in... by the end of the day I could barely put any weight on the outside of my left foot... needless to say I returned these and got a pair of Salomon... the Salomon were 100x more comfortable.
It could be just my foot shape or something of that sort.. but these were absolutely terrible for me. So far with my new boots I haven't had any problems and no foot pain at all
I've had these for 2 days of riding so far... so far, so good! Previously had used rental boots and a pair of Vans... this is by far the most comfortable.
The lacing system is VERY quick and easy, I never have any problems with it. I can lace both of my boots up and have them nice and tight while my friends are still trying to tie their first boot.
This is my first true pair of boots I've ever owned, so I don't have much to compare too, but I can't find anything to complain about. Some other reviews said it comes loose easily, I haven't had that problem, plus it would only take 30 seconds to tighten again.
